Sounds quite nice, I love the power and the drive in this one. Though I feel it needs a little more... maybe some counter melodies that would make it more interesting as a remix by itself maybe?

Yup, I'm actually upgrading it a bit as we speak. A bit of extra percs, a counter melody and a bit more stuff going on in the break. And yes, I restored the breakbeat too ;)
Too bad for Luke and his 56k seeing I have to send him the new version too :stongue:

I'm so temped to dig up some quotes of you bashing Luke about posting a 112k version of Purgatory, but i'm just too lazy (and depressed, due to someone editing my sig). :stongue:
Otherwise, it sounds great, good to see some VBR Ogg files being posted. :p Baseline is fantastic (As usual), the main lead is great, I usually like your leads. Regular trance in a way, but good regular trance, which is what I like.
That reminds me, I need to bug you about getting a better quality version of Together We Shine. |

As for TWS, I have a 160k mp3 myself, but I like the track so much that I really would like to get hold of a 192 (A 192-ish VBR ogg would be even better, but hey, i'd be happy just to get a better mp3). |

Somehow I feel I really captured something essential with this remix. I don't know what it is or how I did it but somehow everything just fell into place naturally.
Quite funny seeing I only spent about half the time on it than what I usually do. |

Took me a little while to get some time to comment on things. This sounds really nice, I like what you did to the string harmonies, way to take advantage of the minor scale. My only comment would be to add some counter melodies (I don't know if Luke sent you a midi, you can ask him for one, there's 3 melodies in total playing at the same time including the pad). Also some thicker percs would do nicely.
But as you said, you're working on both of these issues, so I'll just look forward to the update. Great work. |
