I guess that I am one of those nerdy kids LOL! So far I have found this semester to be enlightening. Not so much in that I've seen deeper truths, but in a morally uplifting sort of way.
Recommendations:
An Equity Concerning the Principles of Morals (Hume)
Grounding for the Metaphysics of Morals (Kant)
Wealth of Nations (Smith)
The Tale of Genji (Shikibu)
Essays in Idleness (Tsurezuregusa)
PS these are books not tacks...
