| Well i dont love cheese i just did that to get your attention:D But i think we need to give a little more respect to commercial dance/trance because lets face it without cheese 99% of us would never be listening to the underground stuff we all love, i owe this fantastic type of music we call trance to artists like alice deejay and atb, and yes even the vengaboys!:D If it wasnt for them i probably wouldnt have ever experienced trance and would probably spend all my days listening to pop, r&b or some other ! |

| youre somehow right. darude-sandstorm was one of my favs in the early days, as well as some alicedeejay-song. but the song that put me really into this genre was blank&jones-dj culture(heard on loveparade00 in TV). but respect is a bit too strong... |

u gotta good point cuba. i guess listening to cheese can sort of be a gateway into our wonderful world of TRANCE--and thats cool--as long as u leave it behind and never look bak and deny the fact that ever liked it. :whip:

You just ended up listening to it?:o ;) :p :D j/k
It's true though, the commercial stuff is a good starting place for many people, Most people soon see it for what it is and moce on to more respected genres.

| I hate these arrogant snobs who say "it's cheese" or "commercial." They're actually quite stupid, even though they think they're more refined in their tastes than everybody else. |

I may be completely wrong but I seem to remember thinking you said Citizen Caned "The Journey" was cheese! |

Yep. I did. But that is another story because Citizen Caned - "The Journey" is not even trance, it's a theme from some children's movie :D
In this thread we're talking about big, commercially successful tunes that are labelled "cheese" precisely due to their fame. |

| some people call it cheese..others choose to call it DANCE music, and not trance. Ill say I like the more upbeat dance tunes..but not all of it. Trance is not dance..trance is Pvd, armin, ferry..Epic stuff..hard stuff, not fluffy stuff..that is plain old dance tunes!!! |
