if any producer knew ANYTHING about the music industy and how it works they wouldnt let that go down anyway. did you know that if you are a producer and you can prove that your tracks have been published you can join ASCAP or BMI (PRS and GEMA in Europe). Then lets say your song makes it onto one of these compilations, if your song is under 5 min you can get $.085 or over 5 min you get $.0165 per min, on every copy made and distributed...IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE TO BE SOLD. soooo if you have a 10 min song on a compilation that had 10,000 copies printed it made a profit of $1650. now if every one of those CDs is sold at lets say $10 the profite from that is $100,000. OH NO THE RECORD COMPANY WHO RELEASED IT LOST SOOOOOOO MUCH MONEY TO THE ARTIST ... BOO HOO.
