Maybe... but then we can go microtonal Arabic scale styles... and when we've exhausted that, we'll have to resort to acid so we can hear colours.

"Scooter - Time and Space" is trance, with more quality than some recent ultra-hyped tunes.

There are many many other tunes worth listening from Scooter ;)

well, if all the melodies are taken lets remix all of them
DigiNut
What are you defining as a melody exactly? The entire song?

I'd say that the vast majority of new tracks are using recycled motifs and chord progressions, they just combine them in slightly different ways and with slightly different instrumentation.

I'll bet you that with 90% of the trance melodies you look at, you could find them in a classical piece written hundreds of years ago. There were, after all, hundreds of thousands of classical pieces written.

PMSL!!! :D

As stated before, it will all progress to eveyrthing sounding samey.

I've heard loads of tracks in the past 2 years that sound almost identicle melody-wise to other tracks, maybe have just a few notes different, or the last 16 beats arranged differently.

I just find it funny how ppl can delude themselves that it will never happen :tongue2

good point...i forget the actual percentage, but the human brain isn't used to its full potential. i'm sure as the years pass by, humans will learn how to use that other half of our brain that is just sitting there. i think that explains some people in this world who can elevate themselves or do "supernatural" things (that young magician guy for example), or people who have "esp". i think those people can use parts of the brain that we don't know how to yet. so once we learn how to do that, the possibilities are endless:)

The last topic you should be commenting on is brain usage.

How much acid would you need to hear colors? :wtf:

When all else fails, use more bass.

Very well said, YaleTrance. Thank you for the thoughtful post. I agree.
