Cheap Technics?

I'm looking for the cheapest place where I can buy new Technics SL1200 (M3D is prefered but MK2 is fine too). Pretty much every place I've seen sells them for about $500. I live in the San Fransico bay area (specifically the east bay) so anywhere in this area is fine.
Internet stores are good too, cause I can get a local store (Guitar Center) to price match to any advertised price (but if its not based in California shipping might be cheaper than tax anyway, 8.25%).
So please post any websites that have them cheap and I'll be looking around too so if I find anything cheaper than $500 I'll post it.
Thx |

| Hey DJ Cheesy..I am pretty sure that the cheapest Technic 1200's come for is about $450 for MK2's and $499 for M3D's...I got my M3D's for $499 at a local Guitar center...good luck bro.. |

| Yeah, I've seen them (M3D) at Guitar Center for $499 but did you know that if you bring in an advertisement for cheaper price or print out a website that has a cheaper price Guitar Center will match that price. My friends and I do it every time we buy something from there and I think they're probably getting pretty pissed, we've saved a few hundred bucks. Whenever they see us walk in they probably think "Oh no, it's those guys that always price match..." |

I found the Technics SL-1210mk2 (same as the 1200mk2 only different color) for 399$...
www.audiolines.com , www.pssl.com ... both have it at this price. |

OK, I could go for 1210's, my only question is whats the difference between the different models:
SL-1200MK2 This is your standard 1200, black or silver
SL-1210 This is black and has switchable voltage (120 and 240) and I also heard it has a rubber bottom which makes it heavier but more durable, is this true? Any other diferences? Pros? Cons?
SL-1200M3D The updated version of the 1200MK2 with a different pitch control (the pitch lock button) and slightly higher torqe.
Also, I was reading a thread about the M3D and there was some confusion one the naming. Are the MK3, MK3D, and M3D all the same? |

Hey guys, sorry for bringing this thread back (for future reference, would you prefer I start a new one?) but hopefully it will be helpful for me as well as other people.
I am getting ready to buy some Technics, but the prices have changed in the past couple of months. I think I want the M3Ds, basically cause of the pitch lock, and they're newer. Plus I can price match at GuitarCenter. So right now the lowest price on the M3D's I've seen is $450 from etronics.com. Anyone seen lower? |
