Case No.: RG38751

Mr. #####,
Recent documents received by this bureau indicate you have been involved in the unauthorized
downloading and transferring of licensed music. Federal laws mandate that you immediately cease
and desist all illegal activities pertaining to music theft. Further, you are required by law to
pay all incurred penalties in conjunction with Amendment 34-C, officially passed on March 10,
2003.

In accordance with state jurisdictions, your failure to pay these penalties in full
within 30 days of receipt of this notice will result in a warrant for your arrest. We are also
required by law to inform you that a second offense will result in a minimum jail sentence of 90
days.

Penalties incurred in your particular case may be reviewed on our government Web site.
All cases are deemed confidential. Penalties are assessed by each individual download, charged
at a nonnegotiable rate of $1,200 per infraction. Click your specific case number (Case No.:

haha. Click the link. I went right into a stupid joke!

Was obvious, though....when the email comes from liquidgeneration.com I should really have figured it out on my own!

I'm gonna beat up my friend tomorrow for this!

Did you download anything besides live sets. most stuff is off the radio and hence, not illegal (i think)

If I got something like that, I'd be nervous too...and watching the windows. If a few of your friends got it as well, it could be someone playing a prank...a sick and distasteful prank, IMO. My advice: just to be safe, burn everything they might be referring to to back-up and hide the somewhere safe.

You bet ;). Too bad I'll have to wait until after the gig, though. We're in a band.

First and foremost if you are gonna get sued or fined you most certainly will not receive an email. It will be an official letter from their lawyers.

if its not from them, it is a joke/prank/scam.

ROFL...@ all of this. Obviously, if you ever were under suspicion of such an infringement, you would either get a Certified letter...but most likely served the letter in person....not email.

Secondly, the link gave it away....next in the LOLZ dept. U.S. Agent...hehe (I want to be one of those)...oh and for the Bureau of Entertainment Executive Rights....B.E.E.R. HAHAHHAHA

sad. :D
torontotrance
