| Hopefully, although I would like Peter Jackson to be reigned in a little, he already butchered LOTR enough. If he does get a chance to make The Hobbit, then I hope that he'll be forced to stick to the book more closley. |

| Overall, yes, but some of the changes just weren't necessary. Don't get me wrong, I loved the LOTR movies, in fact, they're the best movies that I've ever seen, but the way he changed the character of Saruman, the whole 'Ents being tricked into war' thing, and the horrible 'I am no man' line, I just couldn't help but cringe. |

The Hobbits weren't exactly stereotypical 'homosexuals', far from it in fact. Hell, Sam gets married in the books (And the film for that matter). The idea was just to show that they 'cared about each other', if you got a homosexual vibe from it then there's something wrong with you. :p
Either way, even if there was a vibe (Which would be stupid, as there is nothing of the sort in the books), I wouldn't care, it would really have no major effect on the story. |

| lol yeah i know it was intentional, but there were a couple parts were I was just like "eh?". I was expecting Merry to kiss pippin when he found him on the battlefield and was all ilke "i'm never going to leave you again" and all that. Nothing that there is something wrong with the hobbits being gay. I was just picking up a couple of gay vibes with the hobbits in a scene or two |

In that case, I apologise. :p
I've become so used to people (Unfortunetley it generally seems to be Americans, i'm not generalizing, just stating what i've observed) making typical 'omg are they r gay wtf they're so gay' comments all over the place that I tend to jump the gun a bit.
But yes, I do agree with you in a way, there were a few scenes in which there were 'gay vibes' so to speak. In a regular movie I would have no issue with it, but since nothing like that happens in the book, it annoyed me. Then again, any variation from the book to the movie annoyed me, so it was hardly 'just' that. :thepirate |

| i wish they woulda put Tom Bombadils house (i think that was his name) in there. I woulda lit up a bowl righ tin the theater for that one. I bet that woulda been soooooooo trippy if jackson had done it. |
