The main thing im looking for here is sound quality.i know these both have effects and i have heard that the behringer effects are pretty much useless.
in terms of build quality, sound quality, longevity, flexibility, ease of use etc, which of these 2 would u go for and why.
Cheers guys!

| Neither save up a little more and get the Numark PPD01 it is far better for sound quality, I have used the other 2 you speak of cause I work at guitar center, and can say the sound quality is fairly poor. And the build on both those is'nt quite up to par not even for around $200. The Numark I spek of comes very highly recommended, it has a digital VCA optical crossfade,r as well as user replaceable and switchable faders. It also has reverse on every channel, 8 different DSP. effects built into the crossfader, that were designed by the legendary ALESIS semiconductor. And is the only other table that has -100 db kill zones besides the Tascam X9 meaning complete silence from a channel if the EQ's are set to zero. While it only has only 2 channels that is pretty much all you'll need. And another good note it has line level input for digital turntables that use Key Correction, and beatkeeping technology such as the Pioneer cdj1000. The Mixer is very heavy and incredibly durable. I've owned one for a year and have used and abused this thing majorly and it keeps on going strong! Plus the sound quality is almost toe to toe with the DJM-600, or 3000 which cost far more so it's a great buy! |

| I'm using the DJX700 with Stanton 500AL's and quite frankly the sound quality blows hard. I am wanting to upgrade mixers already but it will leave a big whole in the wallet |

| i have a numark dxm-06. i got it for 200 brand new and the sound quality is overall pretty good. you can find it on ebay for that price if your interested. i've only had it for about a month so far so i dunno how it will do down the line, but i found a good deal in a equipment exchange, so i'm upgrading from the dxm-06 to an ecler smac pro30 or pro40. i've heard really good things about ecler and i'm hoping its worth the upgrade. |

I agree, if you want effects, you need either a decent mixer with decent effects, or a seperate unit. The djx just doesn't have good effects. They are almost completely useless, so don't get it for the effects. |

| lemme tell you what i'm doing. i'm getting a really good mixer with everything i could possibly need (ecler smac pro30/40) and then i'm getting a separate effects console, mebe a korg kp2 or a pioneer efx-500. i heard thats the best option |

man,this only has 2 channels.
i hardly think the sound quality would be 'poor' from either as many TA's have these, and although it aint the best mixer,it doesnt produced 'poor' sounds...
can i get a straight answer? gemini or behringer?
which and why?
thanx |

Well if they wear the last 2 mixers on the planet, and I had only those 2 options. I guess I would go with Behringer, One reason is the sound quality is a little better on that model than the Gemini. But not by much, so that decision is kinda up in the air. Honestly nobody can tell you which is better cause they are so similar in build; so what really matters is your personal preferance, and which you think you would be comfortable using!:D You would also be better off with the Beheringer, cause the design is so similar to the DJM-500/600 series which is the current most widely used club mixer. That you probably would'nt, have any trouble switching from using that Behringer to a DJM-500/600, if you play out in a club/rave! hope thats a little more helpful! |
