I have some old songs of his on some hard house compilations that I got a few years back.
I really dig how hard his tracks get and I was wondering if any of you have any more suggestions on tunes.
For any of TA's that saw him back in tha day, what was he like live?

Nope, he had AIDS, but what killed him was complications during a bonemarrow transfusion if I'm not mistaken.
Anyways, not too familiar with TdV's original works (a bit too early for a n00b like me), but I always liked Handbaggers - U Found Out (TdV Remix). |

| quote: | Tony De Vit died at Birmingham's Heartland's Hospital of bone-marrow failure and bronchial pneumonia.
He died after having been rushed into hospital days earlier. Tony had suffered a relapse after collapsing with exhaustion whilst on holiday in Miami recently. At the time Doctors diagnosed him as suffering from severe exhaustion and fatigue, following an acute case of food poisoning. After carrying out extensive tests in the last few day's Doctors later learnt that his illness was in fact bronchial pneumonia and his condition worsened due to bone-marrow failure.
Tony passed away peacefully with his long time friend and personal assistant Andrew Bird at his bedside. Tony's spokesman Gerald Franklin said: "We are all just completely devastated, we thought Tony was on the mend after his recent collapse, he seemed to be making good progress, but four day's ago he suffered a relapse and was taken into hospital. The doctors realized that his illness was far more serious and conducted further tests which revealed the bronchial pneumonia."
Tony played almost every night of the week ! Regularly guesting at venues such as Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher, Cream and Chuff Chuff. He is also resident at Trade in London. He has played across the world in places as far as Hong Kong, South Africa, Russia, Canada, and of course Ibiza and most recently Tokyo were he also mixed his compilation "Boxed live in Tokyo".

Real sad end to a guy who's natural ability was up there with sasha oakenfold etc and who pissed on Tiesto everyday with flawless mixing. Tony lived by a rule that when practising, if u had to even touch the record once to correct, you did it again, and he is fondly remembered by a lot of us as one of the best ever :sadgreen: |

GU001 - Tony de Vit - Live in Tel Aviv
MUST HAVE: GU005 - Tony de Vit - Live in Tokyo
and then there's Tony de Vit - Live @ Trade and also a recent compilation of greatest hits that just got released on Tidy Traxx I think.
Definatley one of my favorite DJs, he was the first one to inspire me and make me realize that I wanted to be a DJ. |

This must be just about the biggest classic ever.
Was it really the first hard house record ever, or was it just his most famous? |
