"New faster delivery times: We have now improved our delivery times - all orders received by 5pm are now despatched the same day"

yey :D
DJ Mikey Mike
I used to prefer Chemical Records, but now I prefer Juno because of a few reasons. Firstly, the prices seem to have increased a lot more on Chemical than they used to be. Yes I know they have added a tax value alongside the non-tax value, but I am still refering to this non-tax value.

Secondly, I emailed them about finding out more information on a vinyl because there was no sample on the site, and no information about the b-side. Instead of getting a reply with the answer, or getting a reply saying they don't know, or don't have the means to check such a query, my email never got replied to. I find that extremely rude; especially after spending literally thousands in that store. So over I go to juno.co.uk to ask the same question. Got an answer back the same day, cleared up all queries I had so I purchased the vinyl. Chemical records loss.

Chemical does hav some advantages though. The £2.50 flat rate for shipping is very handy for large orders (although it's quite annoying that it used to be £2.00 and now has gone up a bit.) Juno is still a lot better though for smaller orders with the £1.75 + 50p for each extra vinyl. Plus the fact that Juno has cheaper prices for their vinyls usually means that even with larger orders, Juno is still cheaper overall including p&p.

So pretty much everyway you look at it, Juno is better than Chemical-Records which is a bit of a shame really because I used to feel it was the other way around..

Okay, 'rant' over. heh.

aye but you still pay the tax value, they used to dupe loadsa people into thinking there records were the same price if not a few pence cheaper than juno by adding the tax on at the last stage of ur order, but infact most of their records were 1 quid expensive or even more. thats why i always bought from juno cept when juno wudnt get a tune i wanted for ages and chem had it. coz the extra 70p you pay per record delivery u save about 50p over chem anyway

PS: haha @ ur sig!

At least they are trying to justify the ridiculous shipping prices they charge. If Juno had more of a selection I'd shop there probably, but they seem to invest in large amount of vocal euro-cheese!

It seems like these 2 stores are your best bet anyways with vinyl. As a final (I MEAN FINAL...EVEN AFTER EBAY) resort I will check out Hard To Find...usually their vinyl are in pretty bad condition. Sometimes I'll look at Dancegrooves or replay, but it seems like Juno and Chemical are the best ones out there...Are there any other good stores?
US stores are pretty lame with selection...

23rd precint are pretty good and cheap too these days :)

i've pretty much always felt this way even tho my last few orders have been off chemical due to selection...

ive had problems with getting well used vinyls from chemical and their customer service is e too, i rang up and complained about a scratched copy of a theme from banginglobe so i shipped it back to them and they refunded my shipping and sent me another copy equally as worn but no scratch, mildly better...

i also bought the astral projection ep1 with pure nrg, i recieved pt2 with the (remix) {<- utter e} on it, i foned up, sent back, they sent a pt2 to me again, so i rang up, explained again, sent it off... they sent me pt2 again, i just gave up + by this time it was sold out on juno, i was pished.

also, www.abovethesky.com well worth checking out, vinyl selection has been rather crappy since december tho :(

Use juno the most, have no problems, they are quick and records come in good condition. Never used Chemical

I still always like chemical's selecetion better than juno's but their delievry times are crap i'm still waiting for an order i made last friday and they are pricey

i usually use chemical, and ive never had a problem with them. ive always been treated very well.. one thing to say is never bother emailing anyone. you will get an answer straight away if you phone them.

ive never had poor quality records from chemical either.. their selection is wicked (especially the techno section :toothless ). juno's website is ing awful, all over the place and very messy. and regarding delivery charges, it has been saying 2.50 on chemical, but on a few of my recent invoices its been 2 quid... the total on the website never quite matches the invoice, but im never bothered cos its always less.

abovethesky.com is cool, although they could do without that annoying tape on the envelope that means that you cant get to your bloody records :p
