Not that any of this will change. God forbid. I can practically feel the apathy flowing from your every orifice. Pretty much single handedly the moderators were able to take a fun kind of sick-perverted community, and shut it down. Fun police? no. Fun- Nazis? thats insulting to the board members, at least some people were favored by the Nazis.
Id say the mods have evolved into more of a pulsating butthole. Something that consistently spews on everything at which it is aimed, and takes anything that is foreign, draws it into itself, and then spews it out again, never to be recognized as the original due to its coating.
They are like King Midas, except their touch isnt gold. Im sick of the favorites, im sick of their little power trips, and im sick of the contradictive hypocrisy they operate under regularly and can be seen by watching what threads by who disappear or are closed, and what threads by who are left open.
You dont get to say they are moderators. Moderator means One that arbitrates or mediates, and so far all ive seen is ass-clowning around with the close and delete buttons.

and regards to not being able to say anythign, thats bull. to be fair, all you would have to do is PM a mod and ask why. not call them hitler then "give them the middle finger" |

i was just askin an honnest question!
i think deep down inside i had a suspicion that maybe just maybe, he was a username that the mods used to close threads randomly..
that way they didn't have to look bad for closin threads..

I dont hate neo, I just disagree with his criteria for closing threads, off topic post are ok as long as the threads author is ok with it and the topic has run its course. IMHOP thread should only be closed if it contains a serious violation that offends the community. Otherwise if its just lame it will die of its own accord. |

I see a lot of people cribbing that the COR is more dull than it used to be and I think one of the reasons for that is too much "moderation" and I've seen a lot of double standards too.With threads getting closed so suddenly without a warning it becomes difficult for members to argue their side of the case.Moderators can claim that the person may PM them and take up the issue but I think that is not the way to do it..instead a warning should be given and the case be argued in front of everyone in that very thread in dispute.Its not a question of whether the moderator says anything before closing but more about whether their reason is not misinterpreted and are they sure closing the thread would not bring the morale of the COR down.One standard that can be maintained is that while closing a thread a moderator should be sure that the persons responsible for the thread being closed be given suspensions or ban,but if the moderator feels that what they have done does not warrant a suspension or a ban then he SHOULD NOT close the thread and instead let the thread continue with warning.I think this will reduce the double standards and give more clarity.
I lurk more than I post but I've seen as much to make the statement above.Although I cant substantiate anything I say with examples,I know I built this opinion over seeing the same mistakes happen repeatedly.I am just echoing my sentiments as an avid COR lurker... :p |

I say ditto. Mods are key when a dispute or thread gets so out of hand people start reacting like Orbax :D j/k
But an instance like when Neo closes a thread for the reason that the thread 'got so far off topic you need the Hubble to see it' is a bit controlling, who's drawing the line on free speech here? This is hardly a place for substance, if you're looking for stimulating conversation you should join a philosophy forum, otherwise welcome to Spam Country.
