There is always a reason why threads are closed. Even if it is a "decent" thread. Usually a thread gets shut down when flaming is taken to an extreeme in the thread, rather than handled in a PM. Or when the topic has gone onto something offensive or absolutely ridiculous (such as... what was that kids name .. oh yea, MERTONs threads i.e.)
Every PM I've sent to a mod regarding a thread that was closed down was answered. *shrugs* I think the problem is that people are taking this forum to seriously. This is the internet people. Breathe in, breathe out. For the love of God, don't take everything said to heart, and don't overreact. It gets ridiculous when the flaming starts for no apparent reason (I think though, I may have been a case of this a few times :p), and people make regards to personal issues on the board rather than through a PM.
There is a comments/suggestion section to this board if someone truly has a complaint that they feel needs to be addressed immediately. |
