LOL @ thread. Good one Jarek.
Too bad ginoism is spreading at break-neck speed these days. It's not something that's just associated with Italians anymore. They come in many shapes, sizes and colours now. They're everywhere dammit... Serenity now! Serenity now!!! :whip: :whip:
Edit:
Come to think of it.. I can't imagine Toronto without them. If they were to be suddenly blown off the face of the Earth (it's not like this thought hasn't crossed many of our minds before) I would miss them. Ginos are an important ingredient in the jambalaya of cultures and groups that make up Toronto. |

As Avikonen said in your NY thread, a Gino is the same as a Guido. In fact, they are exact parallels of each other. A further fact is that the NY and TO club scenes parallel each other in many many ways... this being one of them.
I have also never seen them outside of those 2 cities... probably cause NY is full of Italians in New Jersey and Long Island, while TO is full of them period.

jokes Jarek ..
again i don't believe that Ginoism is exclusive only to TO ..
see my Grease / Saturday Night Fever post .. if u don't consider those as being ginos then i dunno what is .. and those movies were not meant to portray TORONTO !!

oh no man, i know as long as there's stores selling huge collared shirts and flared pants gino's will always exist
i'm just saying the term 'GINO' is exclusive to our region, it got twisted a bit.... doing some digging i found that the terms used for these entities are actually 'guido' and 'stella' |

I believe Woodbridge is the home of ginoism. Brampton could be second but definitely not first. |

i wonder how far ginoism extends...
i was saying 'gino' back in highschool (in hamilton) long before i ever heard of toronto, or woodbridge... i won't claim that i coined the term...
but i wonder who did. hm...
my guessin twas' the irish, they've always had trouble with the italians.
discuss. |

Gino's aren't all bad. They adopted me when I went to a TO club on my own. I actually had a good time hanging out when them :D |
