Regarding New Releases Forum

| How about adding "DO NOT MAKE THREADS BASED ON MP3 RELEASES" or something similar to the forum description? Since hardly anyone bothers to read the sticky threads anyway, perhaps it could raise the level of awareness a bit more. |

So from now everytime that anyone post a thread in the NRF you gonna check if it got released? :rolleyes:
IMO the better idea is to change the name of the section to Upcoming Releases/New Releases Forum |

I can see both sides of the argument here but I think Jan's is superior since tracks that have been released mean that more people will have heard them and be able to comment constructively on them than the few who've heard a rip or something on asot |

Well if you want to post a thread about a song you heard on ASOT or whatnot, then that's what the Music Discussion Forum is for.
I think every thread made in that forum should be clearly labeled similar to this one (as posted by clubsolutely)...
LNG - Inter City [Original \ Lange Remix]
It clearly states the artist and both remixes on the vinyl release.
Also, any thread with "just heard this on ASOT", "when is this out?", "any word on this track?" etc etc, should just be deleted. If you want to talk about a random tune or a specific remix, then use the Music Discussion Forum - that's what it's there for. The New Releases Forum should be for tunes that have been released - allowing substantial information to be provided and giving people the opportunity to give a decent response. |

This is exactly what should happen, will allow a good knowledgebase of new releases (retail ones) for people to read through without the guff which can go in md, infact once i posted in md and sum1 told me not to, but whats the point in it then :rolleyes: |
