...its BS, and there is nothing worse than a place that thinks that it is better than it is, no liquor liscense, 5 dollar waters, astronomical door prices, and now an increase in the age that is allowwed in? WOW, sorry how long has this place been open?....that's BS....just the kind of attitude that Toronto needed in its nightlife....and I am 23....we wonder why Guvernment has such a monopoly....

Yes I agree!

i'd even go as far to say, expect not to.

I wondered this myself. I canada, it is illegal to discriminate based on age, race, or gender. However, it still blatantly occurs (Ie, 21+, women only fitness clubs, etc.)

it's designed to attract a certain kind of clientele. It has a niche, different clubbers care about different things. The cover and drink prices are the same as in montreal (similar hours as well) and that scene thrives. the club has focussed on 2 things that are extremely important to me: good sound and bringing in good progressive talent. I've also heard that the staff there is much friendlier and I'm guessing that b/c of the clientele they want to bring in, they won't be stuffing the place so you can't move anytime either. I haven't been to boa yet, but after going to stereo in mtl I am anxious to check it out.

Have you been to Boa?

Guys, honestly, I wouldn't worry about dresscode, runners are perfectly fine (they aren't anal pricks like FILM) There is perhaps a touch of a style code, meaning no cheesy athletic wear/thug gear I suppose. MOst of you know how I dress @ System, and what the vast majority of you wear there is fine @ Boa as well.

I already posted my feelings on the age thing, but it's not that big a deal, and if you represented yourself in a mature way and were with a group, I doubt you'd be turned away.

btw, I'd avoid bluejeans

need a damn 2cents icon lol
torontobarfly
boa doesn't have a strict dress code...they might exclude certain people in sweats or "thugwear" but you don't have to "dress up" to get in....jeans and runners are fine...
