interesting to hear all your opinions, but the reality is as follows:
-21 & over is to avoid sketchy crowds & keep us from becoming an all ages club. If you look the part no matter your age you are welcome.
-dress code is simple, Boa is not a gym, arena, public park or a basement party we are a dance-club so dress to go dancing, look cool and stylish.
-yes, we can turn anyone away legally.
-yes, we will laugh if you sue us.
-your opinions do matter to us [email protected] |

i would definatly like to go to this club, as it has had a tremendous linei up of djs so far. but i hate dressing up!!!! (even though i have to be for work, damn business world):whip:
so this place is only open from 1am and onwards? and doesnt serve alcohol? thats crazy, how much does boa charge on a night with say...a large headliner? must be a lot to try and recoup lost booze money |

Legally, they can turn away patrons for any reason except for race, or sexual orientation (not saying that they would), as long as they define themselves as a recreational club. I'm not sure how this would apply to a liquor serving establishment.

you dont have to dress up!!
i've never been to boa, but the impression that i get so far is that if you look respectable, you'll get in!

a friendly bit of advice to our newest poster from boa-redux....you might want to work on fixing the situation going on at your front door..."third class citizens" in the regular line are waiting over an hour to get in while guest list and those willing to slide the bouncers $20 are waltzing right through...
i complained about this opening night and was assured it would be rectified but it hasn't...you've got a good thing going over there...i'd hate to see you lose customers because if it...when people walk out of a line for a club they've never been in there's a good chance they'll never come back...not the kind of first impression you want to leave on people... |

If this happens on the Jeff Mills night and I have a ticket I will be PISSED. |

well if you have an advanced ticket sarah i would think you would be ok...but if people don't have an advanced ticket or aren't on the vip don't show up between 1:30am and 2:30am because that's when everyone leaves their earlier bars to go to boa and you will rot in line...
fyi to get on vip e-mail [email protected]
not sure if that applies for mills but they've been offering it for every event so far....
and on a more positive note honey dijon is set to become one of boa's full time residents:D |

Scumfrog marks my first time going to Boa and I've heard soooo much good about the place, the employees, etc., that I'd hate to see something so juvenille ruin it. With Jimmy Van M at Guv and Lafleche at System, I won't hesitate to walk out of line if that kind of b.s. is going on.
If Boa is marketing their events as mature, non-drama, etc...then there's no place for that kind of thing.

definitely good news...they're doing a lot of cool things there...I really think Boa has a legitimate shot at becoming one of the city's big clubs with the way they are handling things so far :) |
