| by the way a couple months after i bought my 500, the 600 was released (pricks) and a lot of people (and some clubs) sold their 500's to upgrade. have a look - there may still be people doing this, you could get a second hander for a good price. |

I got a used Pioneer DJM-500 for about $1000. I got a pretty good deal because i was buying my entire set at the same store and I got some favours pulled with the owners of the srore.
Man I dont know why this is even a topic. If your going to go all out and have the money for the 600 get the 600. Its got tons of impropvments from the 500 and you can do sampling with the 600. |

The only reason the 600 actually costs more is not because of the extra effects and crossfader functions, but the *sampler*. Having a sampler in itself costs money, so it might be useful to get the 600 if you're gonna make some really weird remix of a track...
...however, if you're in need of a studio sampler, you're gonna have to have more cash than what you're getting for ya Birthday. (Unless, of course, you just inherited some) :D
See, it's the same brand, but ya don't know which mixer... I actually preferred the 500 as well. More than enough goodness in a black box! |

| hey maxik...i saw the djm 500 for like 760 bux on www.123dj.com not bad and djm 600 for like 1059 there..u should get yer stuff there its worth it..thats the place where i bought most of my dj equiptment. only problem is the shipping. it takes like 3 weeks to arrive at yer house lol. |
