i have a pair of Sony MDR 7505's.. ive had them for a long time (1 and a half years) and they havent broken, but alot of people say that the hinge breaks alot on it, i think it has the same hinge as v700, anyway ive read some reviews on this site and people say its very muddy sounding, i never noticed since these were my first pair
i use them for bedroom djing, and soon for club djing also, is it worth it to upgrade to.. say Sony 7506, .. well the MDR-V6 so i can save money, will there be a big difference?
oh and v600 and v6, different right?
i hear v600 suck
p.s what headphones does pvd use lately? i saw in love parade 2003 video some black headphones, just curious :wtf: |

btw avoid v700 DJ like the plague. They don't sound very good, they're very uncomfortable (after about 20 minutes your bottom ear will ache), and flimsy as hell. I took the best care of mine, and they broke after 1 year. The damn swivel piece which was a cheap piece of plastic broke, leaving the can dangling by the wire. Eventually the opposite can just died for no reason.
Anyone who tries to defend these headphones are just capitvated by their pretty silver color, or it's their first pair of headphones thus they dont realize how horrible they are, or theyre smoking crack. Perhaps all 3. |

| I agree with the v700s.. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD570s.. they SOUND GREAT.. and are super comfortable.. I can wear them for hours and still not feel them.. the pads feel like a velvet couch :) |

yes, v6 and v600 are different. V6 = excellent, v600 = .
I think there's not a whole lot of difference between v6 and v7506. They make the exact same sound, the difference is just some miniscule detail like the headband or something. |

Sony 700's
Actually the only issue I had with them was durability. In a club environment you can forget anything that has audiophile quality as you wont hear it.
I used them for a few years and admittedly replacing them a few times, but in terms of a DJ headphone that did the job in a loud environment they were as good as any of the others.
Silver doesn't do it for me, no they are not the first set of headphones I used and no I don't smoke anything.
I now use the Sennheiser HD25 (Not the SP model) which are probably the best I have used. As Freak mentioned in another thread the Sony's are not as hard on the ears as the Senns but overall they are slightly better.
You guys make too much fuss over headphones. For club DJing think this... Are they loud, do they isolate and can you stand wearing them for 2+ hours. The rest is irelevant.
7506's are good. Stick with what you know unless you really want to change then I would say look at Sennhieser.
Cheers

I've had my V-700s for well over two years now.
I take the best care and they still work properly.
I don't see why peeps bash on 'em.
But I'm not here to start a HEADPHONE WAR.
I'm standing by my V-700. |

I'm suprised.. I've heard countless complaints that they break where the headphone cup meets with the head band.. u must rarely use them |
