It depends how I feel after Lawler. I REALLY wanna hit this up though.
By the way, Jeff Mills will be spinning on Radio One for one hour on Feb 27th for all who don't know his style. |

Lawler comes 3 times a year, Mills is back for the first time in 4 years, and there is a debate here??

i plan on lawler for sure then mills is a decision....depends how destroyed i am. I wonder if mills will lose it again....hehehe...ask the ppl that saw him at turbo in 2000....the story of that is classic.
lawler and mills or lawler or just mills....tough decisions....ask me in two weeks. |

Actually the whole incidenct is much larger....i dunno what to believe but the promoter person put it on a messageboard yrs ago.
2 stories exist...not sure if they cross over together.
1.A promoter contracted Jeff Mills to play Toronto, Montreal and Winnipeg or Edmonton and a 4th city. He contracted to pay Jeff Mills about 6K USD per gig, so he plays Toronto and afterward, his agent informs that the price went up for the next two gigs to 13KUSD per gig. So the promoter guy thought it was wrong, mills cancels the gigs and says he would never return to Canada. Now this promoter guy put it on a messageboard yrs ago and I dunno what to believe. That's according to him
2.This was seen first hand
Mills played Turbo and as he was playing, some ppl took pics and he got mad and yelled at the promoter...they stop taking pics or I go home now. He was rude to the turbo staff and basically an . My friends saw this first hand, so I'm more likely to believe it.
He has not played Canada since.....4 yrs ppl.
I dunno what is true but all the stories of tempermental techno deejays...i believe number 2. Now with number 1, the western canada gig was cancelled in 1999 or 2000, that's true but why...who the knows...the promoter could have screwed mills....we don't know.
Mills is coming to Toronto and I don't want something that I posted to lead to him cancelling a gig here. The 2nd was seen first hand that night but the 1st part has never been confirmed. |
