TT Sydney Rumour

Was just speaking to a close friend and apparantly she heard from an insider that there will be a massive police raid at Two Tribes in Sydney on the 6th of March. The rumour has it, that all music will come to a halt and police with their sniffer dogs will search each and every individual.
The close friend of mine is extremely trust worthy, however she told me not to take her absolute word for it hence why this is only a rumour and just to warn you guys to take extra precautions. She also told me that the reccent raids on home nightclub were used by the police as a warm up, for what is to come at TT, as they hope to seize thousands of dollars worth of illegal chemicals. |

Why don't they raid the Mardi Gras instead, I'm sure they will find heaps of illegal substances there.
This doesn't surprise me at all, they had heaps of police and dogs at the previous TT. |

Why wouldn't police just search everyone at the entry?
Won't everyone just dump anything they're in posession of on the floor?
It just sounds like an exercise not in drug prevention but in pissing the maximum number of people off in the shortest time. |

ha ha there is no way that will happen, this is just another 'myth' that gets circulated around from friends of friends.
Come on guys, maybe random drug searches, but not a whole halt to the nights proceedings! |

They have done it at 'raves' before and it is an underage event so I wouldn't say no-way! |

it is slightly possible but i doubt it.
There would be approx 10,000 people at Two Tribes! Thats huge. :eyes: it would take hours to search the whole place.
Go raid the mardi gra's its scary the amount of drugs people take in that scene :nervous: But hey its revenue to the government :mad: |

I agree with you, but with everything that has been in happening in Sydney lately, it wouldn't suprise me! still highly unlikely though |

however unlikley it may be.... they would still clean up if they did execute a raid!! like OMG!
might compare to what happened to us at last year's TT... maybe pvdsangel and helen can shed some light on that one :P |

Sounds like just another urban legend to me, like all the rumours that went around a couple of years ago saying "don't go to Centrepoint on Friday the 13th, my Arab friend told me it will get bombed" and so on...
Besides, as soon as they turn the lights on, people dispose of their drugs in any way possible. |
