Oh well. His money. I think I might spend the $8.50 though. I grab a lot of movies off of the internet, but if I don't pay for this one, I'll feel guilty.

Haha, if I do pay for this one I'll feel guilty. I might download it sometime, simply because the cinematography looks pretty interesting.

I refuse to give any of my money to Mel Gibson, essentially because of his bigoted attitude towards Jews, and his refusal to criticize his father's outrageous anti-Semitism.

As for it sucking on a computer, from what I've heard it sucks (plot wise, apparently the visuals are very good) anyhow, so it really makes no difference.

supposedly the action sequences are a spot on match to those described in the bible. hell i had a distant friend pass out at the crucifixion scene because he was too emotionally upset.

A lot of prominent theologians down here were furious, as it apparently isn't very accurate at all, to say the least. From memory he changed the plot a bit to bring it into line with the 'visions' of some (18th century?) Catholic nun.

Well duh. Why use scholarly sources when you have some old crank's paranoid delusions? :toothless

A google search for 'passion of the Christ+nun's visions' came up with this: http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarep...sionseer28.html.
