IMO Ferry's set was bangin...he played mostly uplifting tracks, but still kept to his own unique style. It was great to see 2 of the best DJ's in the world spin amazing ssets back to back nights.
Avalon is a cool venue, but def needs to place more speakers on the 2nd floor. I felt the only place the sound was kickin was if you were on the main dance floor, and that was packed. But overall, GREAT night, great WEEKEND for trance in NYC. Instead of criticism to any DJ we should be thanksful we got a couple of the best this past weekend.:tongue3 :tongue2 |

HAHAHA, i know that guy. he used to be at EXIT all the time. me and my friends would just sit there and dance with him. he's so awesome. looks like he changed venue's. i really want to know this dude's story. like, why at 70+ years old are you going to clubs where about 90% of the people are 18-26 years old? so silly. but i love him anyway. too bad i missed him. sorry dani |

one word about last night LIGAYA!!!!!!!!!
i cant belive ferry droped it
wow what a night i got there around 10:30 chilled out till ferry came on he started off great with kyoto then into sahara then into velvet morning (alto mix. he was in a great trance mood in the begining then switched to some ferry stuff from his album then hit us with some techno and tech-trance which was great i wish ferry would have played more of it, then he went back into alot alot of trance i was there till 5:30 and it was still packed but i was just beat i wish now i would have stayed
it was great meetin you bxnemo iam happy you met ferry for your bday too bad he dident get to sign your drivers licence with your bday on it that would have been a real gift
for anyone who saw me i was the kid with the red ferry corsten shirt
i had alot of people come up to me and ask me about the shirt and stuf
and ferry signed it at the end of the night and said it was a great shirt that was cool
over all with the club the sound syestem sucks my ears are killin me this morning nut ust ringing but hurting there is tooo much bass and too many highs like when a synth would come on it would be louder then the vocal of the song you couldent hear the words that good
the crowd was mixed in the begining it was packed and alot of drug addict asians no offense to anyone who is asian but they just hold each other and shake each others heads and just bump into you and it was annoying but later on it died down and it was perfect to move and go nuts
over all iam kicking myself that i dident stay till the end of ferrys set he owned me last night tiesto better step up his game if he wants to remain number 1 this year cause ferry is playing no games lol |

OMFG i got KILLED!!! Ferry spun the wickedest set EVER!!!! It was great meeting at you new faces.....Michi, stow, so many i cant even remember!!! Who was the black guy on the dance floor with the cam that we were dancing with all night??? PICS PLEASE!!!!:crazy: The only thing i have to bitch about is the system.....that was tweeked all the wrong ways....and my ears are still paying for it. When Sasha was there on nye...the system was much better. I guess its not tuned for trance very well. Im still in the city @ Sunshines place but ill post a full review and tracklist when i get home.

HAHAHA That would be me! Wait which one were you?? I remember Overseas, ShellSh0ck, Lunasea, & Politicsofdancing. There were a couple of others around. A guy in a black shirt and another guy in a white shirt, who I thought were German; but perhaps not.... Anyway I had a blast. Met Ferry and a pic with him. holy holy holy -- can i just say...... after a crazy day of running errands/working, i went to go see pvd.. got THREE hours of sleep and went to work for 8 in hours... went home, got changed and went Straight to avalon to ferry not even wanting to go.....
FERRY OWNED PVD by 50 TIMES!!!! (Lee, STFU!!!) JOKE you not... even the biggest PVD fans here that went to Ferry--- Overseas and ShellSh0ck--- AGREED that Ferry was better than PvD!!
These days it's hard to get mah booty seriously shaking but i was DANCING MY ASS OFF SO HARD ALL NITE TO FERRY!!! holy ing !!!!! i got 2.5 hrs sleep after ferry cuz i had a family function to go to and i got the AFTERGLOw!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D totally still buzzing after last nigth!
I have not been SO thrilled and excited and so pleased with a party since.. i cant' remember!!!!! the last party that was THIS good was pvd february 2002 @ roxy! last night's party was soooo needed!

and then..... he dropped BOMB after BOMB after BOMB and his flow was SOOOO AWESOME.. from funky kinda trance like Right Of Way to straight up techno like Adam Sheridan - Letrik to downtempo/mellow trance like schiller mit Heppner - I feel you and back to the BOMBS like VERACOCHA - CARTE BLANCE!!!! omg... just THINKING about it i just got shivvers all down my back and legs.. those of you who missed it, i am so sorry.. i have been partying for quite a while now and this night has gone down in my books as one of the best.. the vibe was GREAT, the sound was kinda ty, tracklisting AMAZING, Mixing was GREAT, Very friendly security.. DAMN what a NIGHT!!!!!!!!!! |
