yeah yeah, i freaked out last year when he was supposed to spin @ Pure and then got food poisoning. well Pure got shut down and now they're putting him at a ty venue and making it an all-ages show instead of 21+.... and i don't think i'll be there. especially considering i'll be seeing him at Vision on April 17th with a much cooler crowd and much better sound. i can't deal with all-ages shows, too many annoying candy kids.
but i just thought i'd help spread the word in case there's anyone who can't see him in Chicago! :D |

or you could go to both .. which i may consider ^_^ .. though i'm sure after looking at my wallet my mind'll change.
the last time i saw pvd was around the same time last year, for the first time. sounds like a good idea to make it an annual thing. |

He is playing at Vision the night before after all....
But since I live slightly closer to Vision than Milwaukee it is a moot point for me lol.
"The rave" is a pretty dumb name for a club IMHO.

no kiddin... it's not even a club. it's a concert venue, and most of the time they have rock bands there. i've seen Zwan, Fuel, Hoobastank, and Andrew WK there... and it's definitely not the kind of place i'd want to see a DJ. not to mention, plastic cups of beer are $5 or $6. i can drink cheaper if i see PVD in chicago, ffs!
but yeah, anytime i mention "The Rave" to anyone out of state, they get all excited... "you're going to a rave?!" :wtf: |

same difference... last time i drove by they said they were "closed for remodeling"... it'll be hard for them to make a comeback if they keep running things the way they used to. so as far as i'm concerned, it's shut down, at least to me.
nick, ever check out Mantra Lounge? i think that's my new favorite MKE club. :) (not that it matters 'cause i think both you and i go out more often in chicago than milwaukee, lol) |
