Thats a pretty good idea actually, Here in Adelaide Matt Darey gets lots of radio play on Fresh FM and he would get a big crowd down here alone. I don't know how well known he is in Sydney though?

echo *may* be getting Misja Helsoot here, with *maybe* Dekay as well.

Combined Fabric / Echo night.

HOW GOOD IS THAT????

Its a shame, I would've offered you a spot at Trancefixion, but obviously you're too cool and wouldn't accept it anyway based on the name not being up to your standards. :stongue:

your amazing foresight has granted you a name which has trance infused in its name. Me and you, we are on the same wave length baby. Im just spreading trance plur. Me and my perth attitude.

ps: listen to my mix huebor
pps: bassaholix - stick to the chill out forum if you dont like my perth attitude?

How about Nick Bracegirdle, also known as Disco Citizens and Chicane?
I missed seeing him when he was here last time. He has credibility in both the mainstream and the trance community. He's not a DJ, but he can play live.

Having a multi-room event will increase costs.
I personally don't like it when there are many rooms, because my ticket is paying for many rooms when really I can only be in one room at one time. It's a bit like going to the cinema and paying for a few films, but only watching one. I really would prefer a pure melodic trance event.

Chicane is an excellent choice imo..... he is known by the masses, and respected in the trance community - and a live set would definitely bring in the trance elitists.... :)

I am a big fan of the 2 room config even if one room is little more then a chillout room with a breaks (or similar) dj playing.... its good to provide alternatives cause they attract more people and give people the chance to relax away from the primary music..... but each to their own... :)

lots of things to consider, thanks for the input.

You may also want to look at putting someone on the lineup like BeXta, Nik, Nervous or Peewee because as much as WE know their music (and music skills) arent great - they DO attract a following....

That's a pretty harsh way to talk about the most successful Dj's in Australia. While I don't like the hard stuff, those guys still have amazing skills, and their music, while not the general TA liking, is still the kmost popular in Australia :)

I wouldn't put any of thos guys on, because they are hard trance, and the TT event is all about prgressive/melodic/tech/uplifting, with teh hardest stuff being the tougher tunes that Jumping Jack would play.

I am thinking that an international is not all that important. Nor is two rooms. Trying to keep costs down, we are going to aim at a 500 person sized party... and if we get more, bonus!

I think having 2 rooms would bring more people in. I don't think Trance can stand alone in this point in time.

I think Chicane is a great idea, and live would be even better, if not then what about or Lange or Ultrafusion

Scott: It may have been a pretty harsh call but still have you tried listening to their mixing abilities??? Only Peewee has any true mixing ability out of those 4 (with Nik prolly 2nd)....

I know its not to my taste and that influences my opinion but i know what good mixing is and so i feel my opinion is valid....

Popularity is not a definition of skill and talent....
