getting full movies on the 'net??

Hey I was wondering...people always seem to talk about getting movies on the net and stuff...where do you guys find the downloads?
I don't have a tv and it would be awful cool to have something to watch on my computer. Any suggestions of where to find this stuff??

here are some ways:
-You can get all the new movies (that are still in theatre) off IRC Fserv channels, using MIRC... actually, that's the way people have always gotten them. Expect to be put in really long wait queues, though.
-FXP boards where people post FTP pubs w/full movies <--- remember to check these constantly, the files die quickly
-file-sharing programs like Morpheus (www.download.com, look for morpheus) - - these are a little shady to use, since people can cut you off.
-I get some movies by renting DVDs and ripping them into DiVX ;-)... i've done this to maybe 5 DVDs, but ripping & encoding dvds takes alot of HD space.. and i used all the space on my mp3s. lol
-if you know anyone on the net who has a movie you want & a nice connection, maybe they can hook you up if you're nice :P

p.s. if someone comes by this forum and finds out that people are sharing or trying to solicate pirated videos, or even posting urls or links u can get shut down, or in big trouble, just a warning, thought it rarely happens

| thats like saying if a cop or FBI agent comes into my house and sees that i have illegally downloaded mp3's and i burn them onto a cd, hes gonna bust me. highly unlikely. people talk about it all the time. |

hey thanks so much for all this...was wondering though...I use irc and stuff but just for chat. what's an Fserv channel? or which channels should I go in?

| LOL! We're just discussing that in the chat room Alonzo :) I tried that irc channel. not very 56k friendly :( The ftp's don't stay up long enough. Think I'll have to stick with paying £5 at the UCI. |

s sake leave palivar alone, u moan when he posts sounds, u moan when he posts pictures, u moan when u posts nonsense, and then u moan when u posts seriously, cant people lay off him and let me be how he wants to be? until the day where he starts flaming people or abusing them hes not harming anyone, (sorry if that sounds abit but everything this guy does people jump straight down his throat on!)
