Who the hell cares who Martha Stewart is, anyway? Hence my reply to that guy that the U.S. isn't the centre of the world. We don't need to know who Martha Stewart is.

Haha, the 'hang my head in shame' part was actually sarcastic, but hey. :p
I honestly had no idea who she was until all the Americans (and some Canadians) were coming in with the "OH MY GOD, SHE'S IN JAIL!' posts. It did seem a bit odd, as I literally had no idea who she was. Ah well, cest la vie. :thepirate |

Your being annoying because if you dont know her and thus dont having anything to contribute to the discussion why are you posting in the thread? Its like if u were having a conversation about a celebrity in ur country and i stick my nose in and say gee i dont know her. If your truely interested in the subject do some homework and google the name otherwise ur just an attention whore. |

Again, what makes you think I'm 'truly' interested? It was just a passing interest, as people were discussing it as if it was a big deal, and I had absolutely no idea who she was. But hey, if you define wondering who someone is as attention whoring, then that's fine by me. :thepirate

Nothing wrong with trying to learn more. There's no reason to exclude anyone from a thread simply because they aren't as well read on the subject matter as you.
Now if said person starts mouthing off about something they know nothing about, then it becomes a different story.;) |

I'ts ambiguous, and does not read like the type of thread you have to google a little background information on. Shakka will agree that the etiquette in this thread is very different to the etiquette found in his threads on the economy and swedish animal sex.
Oh noes Someones asked who martha stewart is in a thread in the COR about martha stewart, clearly nothing to do with the topic i might have a waaaaah in this thread then find him in another forum and have a waaaah there!!!
