You've never heard of Martha Stewart before?
She's a lady here who has a show,a magazine, and even her own items in Kmart. I know what you would call her, but the word is like right on the tip of my tounge.
Anyway,She's really really rich.. and now she's in big trouble.

** Martha Stewart is A father fu**er. She is a scandalist, trader, indiligent. She is the most messed up bottle of ketchup I have ever seen. She looks relatively similar to the news broadcaster/interviewer on Good Morning America....haha
tathi
big trouble why? i'm to lazy to google it
DaveSZ
So long as they throw Kenny Lay and the Worldcom ups in jail with her.

I said the same thing in COR, then got shot down by a Yank who couldn't believe I hadn't heard of her. I hang my head in shame. :(

While I don't have much pity for Martha, I can honestly say that I'm no better than she is. Yes, I have lied in my life and yes I have lied to hide my lies.... All of of us have....I think it's good to see a person of her standing get caught because it will remain an ever constant reminder that even the most seemingly "honest" and successful people are still people....just like each one of you reading the words on this post right now..... :whip:

Yes....she's really like...Jesus, dying for our sins.:haha:

(I think the cuffs were added recently;)

Perhaps you need a little more juice to realize why it's really such a big deal in her case.

You see, before Martha Stewart was the CEO of a once multi-billion dollar corporation(bully for her!)she had a lot of earlier experience as well. In her younger days she was a stockbroker. I'm sure she was a very good stock broker at that, as she became pretty successful from that. Not until later did she start making appearances on the Today Show with little household tips and such. Not only until 1991 did she start writing/publishing Martha Stewart: Living Magazine, which became a quick success. Not until the middle of the stock market mania (1998) did she go public with her magazine/company and completely sell herself to the world. At that point she became the billionaire who was both loved by so many and hated by so many more. Oh, and did I also mention that during the time she was accused of impropriety, she held a BOARD SEAT on the New York Stock Exchange??? Yeah, she stepped down in 2002, after she'd been found out.

Aside from the well known sentiment that Martha Stewart is a raging bitch perfectionist. Countless stories abound about Martha doing something or another that was incredibly bitchy. Apparently she once tried to pin her neighbor or gardener against a fence with her car. I'm pretty sure there was a book written about it several years back(Maybe in the mid-late 90's). Yeah, one of the jury members was interviewed yesterday and he said that Stewart's best friend provided some of the most damaging testimony against her!

Anyway, back to the story. Martha was a stockbroker, a CEO/Chairperson of a multi-billion dollar, publically held company, and she SAT on the BOARD of the NYSE. You think she didn't know the rules? You think she didn't have any reservations that what she might be doing would look a bit suspicious? It's pretty obvious that she was trading on insider information, but it simply couldn't be proven without a doubt. And the fact that she then lied and made up stories instead of coming clean. This wasn't just a little mistake that people make. This was basically a big FU to the SEC, the NYSE, and anyone who ever believed in her ethics and integrity. There need to be consequences. Dishonest till the end. Just like Jesus.

Anyway, I'm glad she was found guilty, and I'm glad her stockbroker was found guilty as well, even if they'll both end up serving less than a year in prison.:(

:D ;)

See...that's just the thing. She played stupid at trial, but everyone knows that she was a FREAKING STOCKBROKER before she started her company. She knows how it works, and she damn well knew what she was doing. I'm glad the jury found her guilty. But you can't give her enough jail time for the torture that she has imposed upon men everywhere.
