Tiesto @ Space (Mar 7) review

Man, what a night.
PVD was great two nights earlier, but I thought this was greater.
The main floor was jam-packed (maybe a little too crowded, and with some, thankfully not too many, rude people that come along with it), even with the music also going through the system for the side lounge.
Some of you might disagree, but I don't think there was a dull moment in his set, which lasted almost 6 hours (from 1 am to 6:45 am). I'd say the moment of the night was when he played Adagio for Strings, and the lights fully illuminated the floor.
There was a funny moment when he stopped the music for a few seconds to clean a dirty needle.
I thought Buster was funny too.
Also, impressive sets by Ton TB (the guy behind 3 Drives, if i'm not mistaken) as opener - great hearing Greece 2000 and Sunset on Ibiza, and Cor Fijneman as closer (who is probably still spinning as I'm typing this :p) Anyone see them when they played together at Glow?
Michi and vtec were also still there when I had to leave at 9 am in order to pack and check out. So when did Cor finish?
Also, Tiesto is filming a video there this afternoon (Monday), and they are using the first 150 people to arrive as extras. Supposedly all 3 Dj's will be providing "free entertainment." Is anyone going, or did anyone go? |

all i have to say is Sander K and his buddy till 9:30 on the terrace!! amazing set they played ... i still havent slept yet
yes tiesto was good the last hour or so ..ton tb was good too |

| my friend decided to call around 4.30 and 5.30 while at space, leaving me two voicemails of incomprehensible thumping and static. so does anyone know what tracks were being dropped around that time? :D |

| Yeah...my friend, Neil, called me at 5:02am. Every other word started with an "F" and he isn't one to curse like that. I figured whatever Tiesto was spinning had to of blown him up or why else call someone at 5am? He said that Tiesto's set was one of the best ever. He even mentioned at the end of his message that I should be jealous. He reads these boards so...yes, Neil, I was very VERY jealous. Screw you for calling! LOL! I wish I could have stayed in Miami and partied with you. Damn it! Argh! |

Did anyone see the picture disc that Tiesto threw out at the end of the set? I did since i caught it! Sorry, had to brag but it's a copy of traffic with his signature on the original mix side along with "Miami 2004". It also has a DJ Montana 12" edit on the other side. I wanted to stay to see more of Sander K. but I didn't want to walk around with that.:D :D :D

nope..that's tiesto's new Adagio For Strings, it is on his new cd coming out soon.. or so it says on www.tiesto.com.
it says...
"Also included on 'Just Be' is the much-wanted Tiësto version of 'Adagio For Strings'."

| i think that we might have heard 2 different sets dan csuse i couldnt disagree with u more i got in an i couldn t get into it i didnt like it at all so i stayed up on the terrace the whole time listenin to sander play now mind u i dun like sander but i was impressed cause the way he played had me question y he doesn t play like that when hes in ny |

exactly jay... tiesto really sucked i was so bored! :nervous: ... Cor Fijneman pissed so much over tiesto...he spun an awesome set! he saved the night!
