Still making classic tunes?

I just had an urge to play Chicane - Offshore and it hit me what a true, timeless classic this tune is.

It got me thinking which of todays tunes will be considered classics in time to come. And to be honest not many spring to mind. Don't get me wrong, there are some great tunes out there at the moment. But I don't see the likes of Urban Train going down in trance history like Heaven Scent, Xpander or For an Angel for instance. Maybe I'm being too negative. But can anybody think of anything released in the last 6 months that could join these ranks?

Yeah I know what you mean. Any good tunes that are released these days are given sub-standard radio edits and then played to death until we can't stand to listen to them anymore, all the magic's taken out of them.

Most of the tunes mentioned above will always be classics in my mind too. But play these tunes to somebody who's not too serious about the scene in a years time and will they remember them? You can mention names like Heaven Scent & For An Angel and get blank stares, but as soon as you put them on...everybody konw them.

good one paul, flesh is as good as i can think of one.
but i suppose you could say the same of.. utah saints - lost vagueness (oliver lieb mix) ?

I first heard it late last year so it is more than 6 months old, but it only got a full release in April this year so that's why I added it!
