Would u all feel better if I told you I got a 1st or 2nd degree burn? Cuz I did. It looks like someone took sandpaper to my thigh. That, plus the fact that I think I'm getting too old for this stuff. I was so tired Fri nite that I passed out & ended up missing 95% of PVD's 'amazing!!' set & ended up paying $60 US to see his last 1/2 hr & 2 hrs of Marco V. I also kept falling asleep the next day several times on the lawn at Ultra Fest.
So here's some brief reviews:
Fri- Nikki Beach party- fun fun fun! Large reunion of friends. Missed PVD pretty much, but marco v's 2nd hr was KILLER! I almost snapped my shins in half jumping so hard. I also think I injured my previously broken arm from pumping my fist too much- the elbow joint feels 'off' now.
Sat- Ultra fest- too tired to really bother. Prog stage wasnt operating til 7pm that nite. Another stage was missing completely, and time schedules pretty messed up. Saw DJ Dero, Johan, Rabbit in the Moon, Deep Sky (?), The Rapture, Miss kitten, Infusion, James Zabiela, Sasha, Lawler, Satoshi, G&D, Dave ralph, Galaxy Girl, & Morillo. Afterwards: sleep.
Sun- Pool party, cant remember who we saw really, then TA dinner, and back to pool party for Scumfrog, where he ended up playing his shortest set ever (20-25 mins b4 the hotel mgr made them end it abrubtly). Then saw Jeff Mills at BED for FREE. Killer dj!
Mon- Hit the beach, got my sunburn, saw DJ Dazzle (nicest guy!), then caught Liebing at a Final Scratch demo, then hit up the Godskitchen party- Remy, Harry Lemon, Perry O'neil, Marcus Schultz (he's a GOD!!!), Crystal Method live PA, AVB (unbelievably hard set!),and.... M.I.K.E!!!!!!!!!!!!
On todays agenda: pool party w/Junkie XL, Infusion & Behrouz; Johan Cyber at the Holland Lounge; more Liebing demo & interviewing him finally; Blue Bookings techno party with everyone appearing at District tomorrow + Liebing + more.

if there was one place i'd love to be right now... *sigh*
on a happy note, you know that some of these sets are gonna be available soon :D that thought alone is keeping me going in this horrible, horrible week.
miss ya lots nat. hopefully i will make a triumphant return to the scene this summer: a well-deserved holiday for me! SCHOOL. :whip: |
