I havent posted in a while.. ive been more in the production forum for the past couple months but ive got another track together that i would like some feedback on.

Amazingly well driving trancer you got there! Even if i don't like much of the trance nowadays, this is working very well for me. Gets me into good mood. Something i'd definately buy on CD/12".

awesome dreamy fantastic atmosphere we have here. those pads and lead from the JP are really mint. u need to give me a few tips about your percussions aswell :( .

DJ Zero: Thanks for the nice words, the pads in it are the JP as well as the gated lead but i see what you mean about having more.. i just dont want to overload it but that you for your comments.

the bass is mint :) not so keen on the build synth, needs something else to support it, it sounds rather empty to me mate. melody is nice too. i still reakon the tune is too simple tho. there is not enuff to back it up. i just bought a jp today and have only had a small play and i know what it is capable, and what your synth programming skills are capable of. i reakon you could do much more to a tune. it sounds a bit of a cop-out, you need to go the extra mile which you are obviously capable of :)

Great track!
Quality is superb, more pads would be nice throughout the song.
Great subtle sounds everywhere, cool atmosphere you develop. Very 'A state of trance' style, dreaming uplifting.. great synths.
Cool breakdown, nice automation it adds to the overall trance feel. A few things that could be added, just mainly pads and more synths, just to make the song fuller.

I wouldn't add too much things into it.. as more synths, strings or pads. It seems to be the thing of today to overfill tracks with everything you can imagine. It can be done but not everyone can do it that well without making the track sound a big mess with too much stuff used altogether. I don't doubt your capabilities but this works for me just as it is.
Some adjustments might be ok tho but nothing massive. I still prefer "less is more" idealism. |
