Good lord am I ever hurting today. That means last night was good! I even liked Mauro. But I HATE him for getting that Tim Deluxe song in my head.

It was a good night, guess who got added to the SIGG list!
i left early, wasnt feeling good, wasnt into it....but it had the makings of a good night.
missed all of marco :(
mauro was great, better this time out then at KH if you ask me.
gaetano and danilo were good too.
got my signed and thats all there is to that night.
im so faced now, time to sleep.......

| I dont think it was wise to hear mauro's set in montreal before heading to this party. Many similar tracks made the set less memerable. |

not gonna post along review cuz no one will read it and i will be sad.. so here goes fastreview
Greg Gow - 7/10 (but he was the opener, couldnt rip it up)
Danilo - 8/10 (set started off a bti slow, by the end i couldnt stop movin)
Gaetano - 11/10 (track selection alone was insane, and he gets 11/10 because final scratch crashed) Murder was the Bass Murdered Me
Mauro - 9/10 (almost got a 10 but a couple tunes were just bleh, 10 on funfactor and mixing was ON last night)
Marco - ?/10 (so pissed i coudlnt hear teh rest of his set, it was going somewhere, )
Distrikt is a nice venue, cool layout, pretty intimate. pretty good soundsystem too.
and major sausagefest last night. guess it was all guys there for the music (and bitches - who didnt come) |

Gaetano owns me. OWNS. And he owned everyone there last night too. What an incredible set from him...he is up there with Barbara in my personal faves. Now that says something!
I'm just speechless though about how good he was. I needed a night like last night to really get down. I haven't been out in the last couple of weeks, and wow did I ever make up for it last night!
The other DJs were good, but no one really blew me away like Gaetano did. Towards the end he was rockin out some seriously hard beats! but they always had substance to them...
I must have been pretty drunk when Mauro came on (near last call, probably!) b/c I was diggin his set. At points he really lost me though. He went from bang to fluff in no time flat. However he did play carl cox - just kick, which will be sticking in my head forever :whip:
I must say, New Time New Place is a killer tune. Love it.
And I saw so many TAs last night! I just love seein' you guys rock it out to techno. It brings a little bit of joy into my heart. :) Shouts out to all the front and centre dancefloor crew...muff, rogers, tomeboy, skeletor...there are too many to mention.
Unfortunately my metropass and some cash was stolen from my little wallet which was turned into the coat check staff by someone who found it in the washroom. I'm pretty sure the girl who found it didn't steal it, either. What a pisser that was - to have no cab fare home, and no metropass to get to work this morning. Can't I just go out anymore without something ing stupid happening?? argh! |

ahh i knew i was gonna miss uni today
anywayz..my review:
club was ..not bad
music was 10/10
especially gaetano..!!!!!!!
yes it was a sausage fest..and as few people that came up to talk to me said : "half the people in this club dont even know what techno means"
i didnt like the vibe...of course the ta's that were there were feeling it..but thats about it i think
it was a fun night overall..but just a warm up for jeff..which i know will be full of techno heads :p |

Yeah, i dragged my buddies to a huge sausage fest, cant ing stand this about toronto! Toronto will never compare to montreal broads/crowd EVER!
Distrikt staff was great, nice club ,good size, i just didnt get a good vibe from the crowd, wasnt feeling it. Vibe was much better at KH. |

daaaiimn i havent danced this hard since the DJ Rush set @ ILT over the summer :D
T'was an awesome night.. great to finally meet u in person Sarah, and of course it was a pleasure to party with all the other TA's as well.
It was my first time seeing all the headliner's tonite and, man, did they bloow me away! I didn't like the crowd as much, a bit too trendy, but that didnt get in the way of a good time! all the djs were in super.. it was a bit slow until gaetino came in and pumped some hard ass to really get my feet stomping.. and then it was non-stop ride for the rest of the night.
Oh, and it was also very nice meeting Diko-kandi and ahmalek... it was very nice that u still made it to the party after your loong trip! Hope to see you again very soon! |
