How did this guy get so big anyway? While no one is a perfect mixer, this guy ranks down there with amateurs, really bad amateurs. There are dozens upon dozens of djs out there that can mix incredibly and dont look like a huge cheezy dork up on stage. I'm guessing that if this guy disappeared tommorrow no one would miss him.
I'm usualy not so critical of anyone, but i listened to two of his shows and the mixing was so bad i turned it off halfway though both times ... and that fact that this guy gets paid to do this just pisses me off. And then he is concerned that he is being taken advantage of by someone rebroadcasting it? ... lame. |

Johan kicked ass at Trance Energy
his set at Space in Miami this week for the Kremlin party was great too. Every time I've seen him live I've had an awesome time
I was mostly just embararassed at the club.. I have been trying to help get the show to more listeners & outside of Holland and I just wanted him to know I was such a big fan that I was trying to share with a bunch of others.. this is just the first time a DJ has reacted to me that way. He's right it is ID&T's show and I guess I got what I deserved.
I'd prefer just to forget about it. I have plenty of other things to concentrate on |

Dude you were right not him. Regardless if you did this with or without thier premission it is free advertising for his show. To say the least he should of treated you like a man instead of walking away like a puss. Stand up for yourself instead of swallowing your pride.

johan gielen's mixing arn't that bad, nor good either....just normal
but his production has been really CHeezy!!! like his work with svenson for "depend on you (svenson & gielen remix**....sounds like production by dj sammy....wtf:eek:
one thing i also notice is that he's kinda fat, i thought he was fit before....he must hv been stuffing himself with CHeese everyday

but though i think Gielen is not giving the audience his respect...

Is this what you going to tell us on monday when you update your site?
I guess some DJs can't stand this Internet Revolution. Which remind me a great story. Johan Gielen did a superb job on Trance Energy 2-15-2002. How did I know this, because of Basicbeats Radio. Several months later, he came to Washington DC for the first time. Of course he spun at Glow. The tracklists were somewhat similar to his Trance Energy set. But he added some old school trance anthems in the mix. The crowd when ing nuts!! This tells me that streaming is perfectly fine. If you like Johan on his show, you are definiatly going to enjoy him more in the club. So this is just free promotion thing. No harms, no guilt, just great music.
