Review: Sasha & Digweed @ Crobar 3.12 (pg. 6)

Dynamic Duo or better off alone? I’m leaning toward the latter… So I went to Sasha & Digweed with HIGH expectations. It isn’t that I was disappointed, just not amazed. I think that I like the way the two spin individually much more than how they sound together. I guess I was comparing to when I saw just Sasha @ Avalon on NYE, which was a much better night IMO
Crobar was TOP-NOTCH, as usual. Big THANX to JP for hooking us up proper style. Got the whole crew in Raja Xtina Sejal Mindy Sal Helen Megu Indy Michi John, too many to name. Even ran into Bill Harlow and some other Columbians.
So Diggers started the set with some hard banging tracks that I was really enjoying. The euphoria in the club was unreal. Then his set started dwindling, it kind of just fizzled out. Sasha came and pick up at the same low point that Diggers had finished. This went on until around 4, when it started to pick up. Sasha started dropping some notables and the club started clearing out. Once 5am rolled around it was CRAZY. So much energy and sooo many good songs (look below). Almost every song that I knew came within the last 90 minutes of the set & YES I did CLOSE OUT the party J mwahahaha.
Anyone know the vocal track that Sasha dropped around 6:10?? It was right before Markus Schulz Presents Clear Blue. It was kind of melodic and the vocals were distorted, so I couldn’t tell what they were saying. It had a guitar in it, maybe an UNKLE track (FIND THIS PLEASE!!!).

great night great seeing everyone, big thanks to daniela once again for seriously HOOKING ME UP. my thoughts, sasha put me to sleep and diggers woke me the up...diggs laid it down nice n thick...just how i like it...
as for the space...crobar #1 club in nyc *if the ceiling was alittle lower!*
very friendly great staff great drinks...i had a blast

Brian, I was more or less behind the left side speaker most of the night chasing skirt:whip: The bar was close by and I got really comfortable, would have brought my beach chair if I could've.
Any1 catch that hammered girl on the speaker who was ready to reveal her little boobs to the whole club? Only thing that stopped her were her "fiance's" hands which covered them. She signaled me over to her and asked me to find her another girl who looks just like her so she can hook up. I said to her ill find her a girl if shes willing to get naked in the club, she replied "i'm no slut." Yeah ok! Game over. |

lol i saw that... jon and i were in that corner and all of us were just looking at it like wow... after doing that whole booby thing she turned around to her dance partner and started acting like they were humping.... gotta love visuals...
what about the guy that climbed that back right speaker ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP? i thought he was gonna do something stupid and hurt himself.... :wtf: |

i dun think i saw that...but i do remembering seeing security telling two ppl (this girl and a guy (mebbe?)) to get off one of the speakers at around 5ish...i just remember being madd amused by it...how da hell did they even get up there?!~ |
