I bought a new camara 2 months ago (for my birthday), Olympus [mju] - 400, with 4 megapixels, 3x optical zoom. I looked at alot of diffrent cameras, and really wanted to buy Casio Elimix. A very good camera and a huge screen. I tested both and found out that Oplympus was best. Its even waterproof, so good for outdoor shooting =)

We have a Canon 10d.

If it's a digital SLR you are looking for you should check the 10d, or the 300d out.

I've definately had a lot of fun with it...

excellent cameras! But really not for the average joe :(

My next camera is either Nikon D70 or Canon 300D

canons are pretty good. my 2 megapixel beats sony's 2 megapixel by a mile and then some more. i have s330, it's rather obsolete now, but in general canons are very good point and shoot cameras and they even have some manual control for a smaller price.
Mosaic
CANON all the way.

That's if you want totally retarded and 100 % biased advice :p

Best buy is the crap for getting real advice. They'll always say bigger is better; more money is more quality.

And fyi the guy does **NOT** live in the continental US so he's gonna be out of luck trying to bother one of the best buy crappy salesmen.

i'll modify that: just go to Best Buy and play around with the cameras, see what they feel like, which controls you like and which you don't... i might be used to the controls on my cam, but i find the controls on the later canons are pretty confusing.
