The truth about Ferry at Aria

Sorry to dredge up this topic again, but we had a TA meetup with Ferry last night and he talked about Aria and I figured you guys should know his side of the story since you bitched enough!
Ferry has been on tour in North America for the past 5 weeks and when we asked him what his favourite place was to spin this tour he said Toronto. A couple of us were disappointed he didn't say Montreal, but he said that the thing about Montreal is that it's so damn late. He said he finds it hard to start spinning so late in the night. So some of you were probably right that he was tired.
He also mentioned that when he was wrapping up his set at Aria, the resident DJ (Marco G was it?) who was playing after him told him that he was supposed to play until 9 and not 7:30 or 8 or whatever (although he thought he played until about 8:30), and he had been under the impression that he was only on the decks until 7.
So I think there was a little bit of miscommunication there and I figured you guys would want to know what he said.

| I hated the party at Guvernment, but it's awesome that Ferry thought that party in Toronto was his favourite. I think this should silence all the Aria fanatics on this board :D |

whats all the fuss about...
ferry isn't the only dj that complains about the crazy hours... but thats how the club runs.
durafei: if you were in montreal for corsten yo would have much more fun than at the Guv
(talking about the Guv, if he was closer to the crowd, he would have a better idea about the general bad vibe and bad sound in the club) |

Honestly, I had a great time in Guv on Sat. night. Despite the fact that there were soooo many ppl there, and the sound was ty. After six, as the people started to leave, the sound got sooo much better and there was enough space to dance.
On the other hand I am pretty sure that I would have loved Ferry's set in Aria as well, he always pulls a good show in Mtl:)
PS Don't start another Guv vs. Aria thread, both clubs have their good and bad sides. |
