Should "AMATEUR" be removed from the title of this forum? (pg. 5)

Just a thought...
If you don't want to remove it why don't you change it to: Amateur & Professional DJs Promotion and Amateur and Professional Music Producers Promotion. |

I think a possible problem is that it becomes long and unwieldy. Since "Professional & Amateur" is kind of redundant -- I mean, who else is there, really?
I like the idea of simplifying it. |

I know but for some reason people voted in the poll in the DJ section against removing that word from the name. Simplifying it by removing does sound better. |

Some guys that post in "Amateur" section had their stuff released so that creates confusion in my opinion. |

| I think the friendly atmosphere of commenting should be continued... if there are too many hostile flame-style comments, of course there would be people scared to get a reasonable opinion. But if someone is new, they can say that for themselves in their thread, and tell a little story about their background experience perhaps. When in doubt, speak it out =) |

I think the problem is not the word AMATEUR but PROMOTION. Not that they shouldn't BOTH be there, but consider that if you're a professional, then you don't need to post here to PROMOTE your songs...being professional means you already have that PR work done for you. SO... I would definitely keep the "AMATEUR" in there because that who need the PROMOTION.
If anything take out the word MUSIC... I mean Amateur Producers Promotion is self-explanatory isn't it? |
