Should "AMATEUR" be removed from the title of this forum? (pg. 7)

whatever happens please dont do 2 forums.. because the best part is the diversity, and amateurs getting pro advice. Having a pro and an amatuer would create too much confusion also about who should post where, and 'am i good enough for the other one" stuff.. so yeah thats my take...

Tough decision.
But I think Music Producers Promotion would be better. amateur isn't necessary.

Whatever the decision is, don't make two forums. Two forums would just create more peoblems imo.

Unsigned Trance Producers Promotion

Agreed. It should be one way or the other. But I think the "amateur" should stay for the reasons I mentioned above.

I think people are looking at the word Amateur as a negative one, because it somehow suggests bad quality. This isn't the case though. Think of the best producers you know, when they made that first killer track they were amateurs too :)

I voted 'NO' because there is a mix of productions (amatuer, advanced, professional)in here, but 'Amateur' is inviting for new producers. Plus I don't judge anything that is amatuer as a bad thing. We are here to help each other, and it doesn't matter whether you are pro or amatuer or beginner. It's about the music, and the name of the forum is not gonna reflect or influence my opinions on the people, and most importantly, the music that they create in here.

Oh, and to get technical, someone can have a professional quality production, but not be professional. You have to get paid or signed for the track in order to be professional. My two cents.

I think "amateur" is great, it still gives more advanced users a change to give tips to producers with less experience. This way there's more discussion and value for producers area. :)

Is there a deadline for this discussion or is it ongoing indefinitely? :)
Xenocreator_PG_
these are discussions that go forever ................& beyond blah.

Ive been playing musical instruments all my life & have thousands & thousands of years worth of experience. With all this musical knowledge stored in my cranium I only have one very important thing to add to this discussion: & that thing is persistance! I am persistantly dribbling crap. I am the musical wizard of crapology! Crap crap crap. & my point is crap. & then crap is all crap something crap. I think ive reached my pointless!
