Maybe not telling him his sister is hot, but something to test the grounds a bit without exposing yourself too much. I mean think about it, let's say you have a sister and a friend tells you she's hot. What are you supposed to do? ************ of her hottness or lack thereof, if you want to tell your friend that you don't care if he goes out with her, you can say "yeah she's pretty hot," but the fact that you're her brother makes it kinda ed up. Whereas if you say "no she's not" it sounds more as if you're telling the person to not go after your sister or you'll break their bones. I think you need to come up with something a little more neutral, something that signifies you'd be interested in her, but not something that puts your friend into a bind. Likewise it has to be neutral enough not to make him angry enough to hurt you (if it is indeed the case that he doesn't want you to date his sister). |

hmmm what would do? I would probably do one or two things:
1. Make my interest in the girl known to her, and then hopfully get her to sway her brothers opinion of the possibility of you and her together.
OR
2. Make my interest in the girl know to her brother(but carefull what you say), and then hopefully get his approval, which shouldn't be that hard considering you're already his friend. The only way I could see him dissapproving is if you're only after sex and/or arn't a nice genuine guy:) |
