I'm sick to my stomach.
A kid suicide bomber?
First, it was a mom with two kids, now children.
I feel terrible. |

Does it really matter how old he is? I think it's more impressive that he voluntarily (Yeah, guns were being pointed at him in defense) cut the vest off and chose to live instead of die. Maybe this is an inflection point and Palestinian children are starting to see through the brainwashing and deciding they'd prefer to choose life over death. Who cares if he was 65? What's important is that he said he didn't want to die and chose peace over violence. Now if only more people in the middle-east (Palestinian and Israeli) would take note. |

yes it matters... a 12 yrs old boy is not the same as 16 yrs teenager.
It matters, because Haaretz decided to play the sensationalistic game...

It was wrong to use a child as a suicide bomber at the checkpoint. Very shameful.
But I am shocked that this event made it to the media. I'm shocked because events at checkpoints rarely ever make it to the mainstream media. People die at checkpoints all the time. Ambulances aren't allowed through until the patient dies. The mother gives birth at the checkpoint. People are crowded so much that someone suffocates. Soldiers beat up a Palestinian. I heard about a man who wakes up at 3am every night to go to work because it takes eight hours to get there due to checkpoints. Checkpoints are tools of oppression and a big component of the occupation. They should all be dismantled immediately. I wish the media would also report on that. |

Gee, looks like the checkpoint worked like it's supposed to... Why would they dismantle the checkpoints so long as palestinians are trying to sneak kids with bombs through them? |

That's why Hamas is destroyed first. So they wouldn't proclaim Israel's withdrawl their victory the way Hizbollah celebrated the pullout from Southern Lebanon in 2000. |
