i just picked up the blade runner soundtrack Vangelis and its really good.
i was wondering if there are any Vangelis fans in TA? |

I love the movie and the soundtrack. the closing titles need to be remixed... not sure why
this hasn't happened already. it kinda sounds like stage one. |

sure, i like vangelis. The blade runner soundtrack is really good. Like it alot.
Btw, check out Wojciech Kilar if you havent already. Bram Stroker's Dracula Soundtrack is really good too |

Vangelis, a true master of electronic music. He has influenced trance in so many ways with his early works, and notable pieces like "Pulstar" and of course the end titles to Bladerunner which has been remixed into trance several times. I can't say I personally care for Vangelis' own remix of his World Cup soccer theme (FIFA), but yeah I like him. A lot. One of my all-time faves: "Antarctica".
Future Sound of London's "My Kingdom" has a sample that sounds eerily familiar to another part of the Blade Runner OST.
I tried to read some interviews once but unfortunately something was lost in translation and the brilliance of his Greek came out sounding a few parrots short of a barrel of crackers :( Thankfully there were some better interviews lying around. On the Greek tip, I also like the unfairly-stereotyped Yanni (fave tracks include "Out of Silence" and "Keys To Imagination"). |

| Another Vangelis fan here :) Too bad all his stuff is so damn hard to track down here, all I can find is the Bladerunner OST (which is damn good though) and lots of cheap best of-compilations. |
