there are so many talented rap song and rappers out there but you just have to take the time to look for them.

grouping real rap and bull rap together and bashing the whole thing is just stupid, so unless you have heard alot of actually talented rappers, you shouldnt just say rap is .

and if youve actually heard some talented rappers and good songs then you should still respect it even if its not your thing.

you cant judge music by the most mainstream of the genre.

sorry but that argument is worn out for me. it still doesn't change the fact that a rap "artist" can't sing or create music. they probably can't even read music. i bet lots can't even read.

maybe they can rhyme really well or something, (maybe i can balance an orange on a toothpick) it doen't make them special. (it doesn't mean they're not special either btw)

shocking lyrics, opinions, and sad stories are the basis of the "music" not the music. so its like a poem with bad words. i'd rather read a great poem writen by a genius then listen to rap sung by a drug dealer

well if you like poetry than you could probobly respect the way its recited. and every good rapper is probobly called good for there execution of the lyrics, cause they can "flow." and when they have good lyrics on top of that with metaphors and actual intellectual meaning, and then you add a really good beat then rap is not actually so bad of music after all.

but of course not everyone will like the same music and if it isnt poeples thing that is fine, but to blindly say its crap with no argument is just annoying.

Tupac is my favorite rapper. However, Tupac is not the best 'rapper'. What i'm trying to say is that he was the best LYRICIST, the man was a poet no doubt, but his flow wasn't the best. Biggie, technically, was much better 'rapper' than Tupac. Ask any real rap/hip-hop fan, and they will tell you the same thing. Tupac is untouchable lyrically, but rappers like Biggie, Rakim, Common and Talib Kwali are much better 'spitters' and flow much better.

But no doubt, r.i.p Tupac. Most influental, most dedicated, and lyrically best skilled MC ever.

I feel the same way, that's why I stopped listening to the new bull they have now..I also like Nas...he's first album was tyte..and He'll have some crucial lyrics and he uses poetry in his songs..But I gotta admit, Tupac was the greatest, because some of the stuff that he said..like that one song Only fear of Death.."No where to run i'm in terror & no one cares, a closed casket at my funeral and no one is there" This got to be one of the saddest line ever!. But now I listen to trance..I'll listen to anything that has a trancey beat....!!

jedi mind tricks, gangstarr, aesop rock, and immortal technique are some of my favorites.

jedi minds best songs, i against i, and heavenly divine are crazy

i never really liked tupac and biggie though, they were too commercial for me, there not absolutely horrible like some others but they just lack originality to me.

[i][b]and hip-hop is more fly, booty shakin, grinding music. Best kind of music to bump your bass out of in a system.

Uhm, i got a good system and tell you what, trance, drum n bass, house, techno, breakbeat got more bass then rap, and how i know that? All those rap kids trying to overblast my music with they rap music but its never works out

Heavy base is over-rated. I have Bjork tracks that can shatter my car windows faster than any Trance, D & B, House, whatever. Too heavy of bass is a good way to mask how bad the music actually is. Rap especially.

I dont think that they are really dead, there is some big rap conspiracy with the fellaz high up, they stage their deaths and go live on some hoochie momma bling bling phat island with their beatchs, and still manage to produce albums outside of the public eye. they're not really guns that they got 'shot with', they are water pistols, either that or made of liquorish. Oh and they are all laughing at us for morning their deaths, and the millions they made off of the subsequent single that was released.

Have you read F.Begbeder? "99 franks"? ;)

I enjoy bumping hip-hop out of my system just because it's a lower bpm. I've had to replace two tweeters and a sub in my car's sound system just because too much bumping hard house/trance/house blew those speakers out.

Your right, it can test the limits of bass in your system better then hip-hop. I just don't like bumping trance/hardhouse full-blast because it wears down on my speakers. It's the best in my opinion just because when your rolling down the street, energetic music isn't as 'chill' as alot of hip-hop is. I have more fun bouncing my head to hip-hop while i'm chilling in my car, then house-stepping in my seat in my car. I don't know, I just like slower music when i'm driving compared to energetic. Only when I'm like crusing the freeways I like trance more.

It's more of the situation in which I like certain types of music.
