It's the annual Pride Party @ CNE.
Here is the funny thing about it ... back in 2000, raves were band on CNE grounds, but they had this event at the Automotive Building that year.
Then can ban the raves, but they can't ban this ... some "type" of party, 2 different crowds and a lot of unfairness |

I hear ya...I told a certain TA who's helping to organize it that I wanted Armin to headline...while they shared my sentiments, they didn't go for it, lol :D
Unity/Pride is always fun...if only there would be something other than circuit . FFS, I wish they would get Lawler or somebody like that...the boys would love his tribal goodness and the circuit haters would have a good time too :)
everyone, I don't really think there's a double standard here...a rave and a Pride event really are not the same. You'll see virtually little police, little security, no searches, etc. There is pretty much ZERO drama at gay events (pretty much zero good music too, unfortunately). Pride as a whole brings in TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars into the city every year, unlike ANY other cultural or social event and there are rarely any problems at all. I'm sure that has something to do with why they get to host an event there ;) |
