An unemployment rate of 5.6% is lower than the rate during much of Clinton's presidency, and 30-40% lower than the current average of the liberals' beloved economies of Europe.
Presidents don't create jobs. They modify economic policy in order to help spur economic growth. So, higher taxes or lower taxes? Pick which one you think helps to create jobs.
And to all of our European supporters of Kerry, what do you think Kerry's plan is to create jobs in the US? Protectionism. People on both sides of the Atlantic seem to think Kerry will be some great internationalist President - but everything he's proposed on jobs will hurt the rest of the world far worse than any of GW's current economic policies. |

You failed to see my point. Please let me refresh you how the tax cuts were sold to the United States.
The Bush Administration called the tax cut package, which was passed in May 2003 and took effect in July 2003, its "Jobs and Growth Plan." The president's economics staff, the Council of Economic Advisers projected that the plan would result in the creation of 5.5 million jobs by the end of 2004—306,000 new jobs each month, starting in July 2003. Although jobs increased by 21,000 in the month of February 2004, the "Jobs and Growth Plan" still fell 285,000 jobs short of the administration's projection. The administration projected that a total of 2,448,000 jobs would be created in the first eight months after the tax cuts took effect. In fact, only 294,000 jobs were created over that period for a cumulative shortfall of 2,154,000 jobs. The failure is widespread with 48 of the 50 states failing to hit their targets by January.
Look at it like this....he lied about WMD and he failed at job creation.
Good Bye GB |

5.6% damn staggering number
I guaranty 2.3% aren't even looking for a job!
This economy has never turn on a dime, but it is turning.
Kerry will save this country by turning down the nomination. He's not the one we need in office and most intelligent people know this.
...And Hooknife, if GB lied to you about WMD's then the entire world lied to you. Come to think of it more people have lied to you than you care to know.
Don't get sucked in to economic projections too much.
Don't get sucked in to a liberal agenda too much either. |

Those that have gave up looking for a job are not included in the unemployment rate, this is taught in highschool economics for chrissakes.
If you don't know something as basic as that, what kind of authority on economics are you? |
