yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese. pulser is the only one there with some redeeming value, but if Acosta plays it he magically converts it into cheese. anything he puts his hand on will sound cheesy with him behind the decks, he's like the Midas of cheese, bad pre-packaged American KRAFT cheese (as opposed to quality Dutch cheese).
Acosta was the FIRST trance dj I ever saw about 6 years ago, and I've hated him ever since. Never liked his German hard trance style (like Wag and Talla, horrid music) from back then, and I don't like his McTrance style from today. I'd rather listen to DJs I don't particularly love like PvD, Armin, or Ferry but still have some respect for them for being somewhat classy and unique.
Acosta. sort it out. | The reason he was the first trance dj you saw 6 years ago was he was the only guy in america spinnig trance....he definitly plays german hard epic but also he does expand and also if you knew anyting about music america trance nation2 w/atb and next level and pm edition and miamidisc1 and touched disc 1 is nowhere near german hard stlye lol u need a education my friend... |

my opinion is that they ALL suck. he played a few good tracks back in the day and might play a few decent ones today. so what? he's still a mediocre dj that can't buildup a set for and doesn't have a clue about timing and track placement. most of the stuff he plays is hard melodic cheese. last time I saw him? regretfully, last december. kthxbye. | so let me get this straight you first saw him 6 years ago HATED him ever since yet you went to go see him in december hmmm where can we get a tracklisting your so full of you hater at least be honest what club was this why go see a guy you hate LOL!!!! |

i saw him in Puerto Rico over winter break at a club called Barolo. i don't care enough about the music he plays to compile a tracklist. all i remember was that it was a very forgettable experience and that he played cheesed out anthems.
and i went there because i knew the people throwing it and got a free ticket.
trust me, i've seen Acosta quite a few times because that's where the party's at. but he has NEVER impressed me with his music, not once. |

how could you say that touched and miami have respectable track listings if this were 99?? they sound nothing like awake or am pm sessions or nothing like 98 trance ??? at all as a matter of fact each of his releases sound different to the next and every time you go see him live you have no clue what type of set he will be dropping? |
no, actually they were a lot like 1998 trance..which is why what he spins is considered cheese...it's not innovative, original, or outstanding in any way...
and dude, stop taking this so personally...remember, music is an art and art can only be appreciated by how much you personally redeem from it, or in other words: "to each their own"...if you like Acosta's music, fine...you found out our educated opinions and we disagree, now MOVE THE ON...no need to start attacking everyone and creating threads with the sole purpose of pissing people off...nobody likes that... |

Ok, all those words and letters say one thing... you dont read... let me restate was was said ["e]not innovative, original, or outstanding in any way...["e]. Acosta has no talent, he just got lucky and introduced something new to a place that didnt have it.
For example, if I went into Kentucky and banged out some trance sets there, I would be a trance god in Kentucky because they really dont know whats out there other than myself. What you need to do is go find yourself someone else to admire, because Acosta just isnt worth it. He cant beatmatch, he cant compile a nice mix, his track arrangement sucks.
My favorite DJ out there right now: John '00' Fleming - his beatmatching might not be the greatest but its good, his track selection is supurb, and his flow is butterz. Bangs it out track after track. Oh and another reason why I like J00F, hes totally unpredictable as to what he will spin. |

Anybody who stops in the middle of their set to hock their own CDs for $20 a piece (crappy burned CDs with no case, no less) gets no respect from me.
That is just a no-class thing to do.
I hope that fat cuban asswipe gets deported one of these days. |
