Jesus H. Christ in a chicken basket with a side of fries. ARMIN OWNED. I've only been clubbing twice, ever--both times to see PVD last year at Eleven50 and again at Mythos...but I must say that last night topped both of my last two experiences combined, by far.

My friend Andrea and I drove from Rock Hill SC yesterday and arrived at the Sheraton to check in a little before 11:30pm. We check in, and look at our directions from MapQuest and something doesn't seem quite right. So we ask one of the front desk guys if he can double check on something to make sure. We ended up being about two miles away rather than the 0.2 we had originally thought, and we were originally going to walk over...not anymore. So the front desk guy said he can call us a cab, but first brings us outside to see if there are any already out there. There wasn't -- however, their Limo driver was sitting there doing nothing, had no clients for the night, and so he offered to drive us to the club. I couldn't ing believe this--we arrived at Eleven50 in a white double limo. And he told us only to pay him what we think the taxi would have cost us. I was totally stoked! Despite what he said, we paid him generously and he gave us his card and told us to give him a call when it was over and he'd drive us back. (Later that night he told us to give him a call whenever we came back to ATL and needed a lift!)

So we arrive, and get in within about one minute or so -- and thank god because it was damn chilly outside. We got there in time to hear about the last ten minutes of Ross Hambrick's set, and I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to hearing more of it. So Armin arrives and of course the club roars. We go down to the stage, I got some pretty good pictures and a kickass video (minus the fact it turned out really dark...dammit), and then we start dancing for a bit.

In that time I met two TAs and the wife of one of them rather unexpectedly -- Tom and his wife were up front for a while right next to me. We'd talked online a day before and he told me he'd be the english guy up front going nuts. As soon as I heard him speak in his British accent, I nudged him and asked if he was Tom...sure nuff! A while after that, I look to my right and instantly recognize someone from TA, just from seeing so many ATLTA party pictures. I asked him if he was a TA and it turns out it was ATL_Trancer! I enjoyed meeting you guys, hopefully I'll be down in the future for more ATL parties :D Tom's wife was in the front of me most of the time, right up front on the roped railing, but then told me to switch places with her so I could be up front for a bit...that was awfully generous of her. I got some good pictures from up there too :D:D:D

Luckily I was able to get Armin to sign one of those small ASOT2004 tour flyers as everyone was going nuts on the left side of the stage there. It was so crazy I couldn't get away from the crowd after he signed my flyer because everyone kept pushing forward and this woman leapt over a bunch of people from behind...LOL :eyespop: :haha: :haha: :haha:

And of course afterwards we called the limo guy, and we waited outside for him to get there...as it happens, we were standing right next to the SUV owned by one of the Liquified guys, and the one they were taking Armin back to the airport in. I caught him as he was about to get in and got him to get a picture with us :D

And then the limo came and we got back to the hotel at around 3:30. It's a shame he couldn't have played a longer set (damn city council!! :whip: )...he absolutely owned. His energy was infectious, and he was really into the crowd, and very generous too. Very much the people's DJ. :D

By the way, WTF was going on when that guy got up there and yelled to the lights guy, who was shaking his head, that he'd "take the blame"?

All in all, this night owned soooo ing much. I hope to see Armin return soon!!

(I'll post my pictures somewhere within the next hour :D)

This is a little late in coming but i think i'll just go ahead and repeat what everyone else has said about thursday night.

Dinner was great, good job leaann! :D But the dinner was nothing in comparison to what went on inside eleven50!

ARMIN VAN BUUREN FKN ROCKED! That 3 hours went by very quickly

Sorry i couldn't come to the after party though :( Class in the morning (that i can't skip...grrr) and homework to turn in. We'll see how things work out for PVD in a few weeks!

And for those of you who met me for the first time last Thursday, the name is Dan

:toocool:

I enjoyed the Armin show. Above & Beyond - No One on Earth (Gabriel & Dresden Mix) rocks my socks. Nice meeting some of the new TAs hopefully we guys have a glimpse of how we Atlanta TAs do. ;-)

Thanks to everyone for coming to the afterparty. I had an even better time there chilling with everyone. We kept it going for a whlie.

One thing I'm pissed about though. I have two sleeves without their records. Steve Porter - Definite Form and Tenth Planet - Walk on Water. I also have an extra copy Solar Stone - 7 Cities (AvB Mix). I'm pretty anal about returning the records to their proper place so needless to say I'm annoyed. Jack, can you please check your record box for my records. I think I have some of Mario's and yours.

One thing I enjoyed about Armin was the amount of TA's that attended this event! Soooo many people!
