Cant seemed to edits posts

Is anyone unable to edit there own posts in there threads in every section other then the tracklist section, I for some reason cant edit my threads on the music discusion section, This will proof to be a hassle cause I hate having to reply to them them with updates, Such as updates on the lineups, streams and whatever else, Anyone else out there having this problem cause everytime I tried to edit my own posts, I get this message.
The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 5.001 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.
Swamper, If you are reading this, Please check your PM, Its urgent. |

But why?, It seems rediculous, What if somthing comes up way past 5 minutes and I have to re-edit the posts for emergency reasons? |

Well, The tracklist editing seems to work, Its just everything else like music discussion, The chillout section and all the other sections wont let me edit, And thats a nuisance. |

make a post with just some info.
then make the first reply and keep the tracklist in that reply. cause as far as I know you can always edit replies. |

If u want a post edited, PM a mod.
with the ever increasing useage of these forums with more and more active users, some things need to be sacrificed, like the ability to edit your posts every 5 seconds.
Tracklisting forum has been left as it is because ppl update the tracklists as they get to id the tracks.
You have noticed that one of the more busier times on the forums is during ASOT.
during that time things like the  function is turned off so that the forums work faster.
You have to remember that Swamper pays for the servers and bandwitdh that tranceaddict.com use and it is not possible to always have the fastet server etc to cope so in order to make the forums as quick as possible for the majority of users, other features that are rarely used are turned off.
Of course the upside of it is, to those of you who care about such things, is that if u have to make another post to update your original post, you all get your precious +1's :p
postcounts to me are irrelvant anyway, i would be quite happy if they was one of the features Swamper took out to increase forum speed.

I edit pretty much every other post I make for one reason or another.
P.s. any chance of banning picture signatures as they kill my 56k?? :p |

I can only seem to find options to turn off signatures entirely or turn off pictures entirely. I would like text signatures diaplayed only! :nervous: |
