1 mile: 6:09
2mile: 16:02
They make us run 2 miles to qualify for the varsity lacrosse team. Defense/LSM (my position) has to run 2 miles in under 18 minutes, attack in under 17, and middies under 16. |

i was running below 5min my freshman year.
my track team last year was great. we had a 49sec 400m runner, and a sub-52sec 400m relay team. we always won the 400m relays. then, my main event was the 800m and mile. i got my varsity letter as a 10th grader to fill one of the 800m relay spots. those were some really good times. i miss it, ive since moved recently soo...i remember at several track meets, our event came up. they always put me as third runner out of the 4. because the 3rd leg is always the hardest, and i had the reputation of getting us from behind to the front, and the reward u feel when u know, that your team won because u stepped up to plate, fought the pain, and got your relay team from 8th to 3rd. and then, getting to third, our best 800m runner would take the 4th spot in the relay, and take us home to get 1st or 2nd. so our 800m relay was excellent. im proud to have been on it.
for the mile, i was never first. there was always in my races, several sub 5 runners. but my average position was around 15th out of 40 boys.
my shelf is packed full of trophies and medals im proud to have said that i earned by very hard work. our coach made us practice very hard. people were throwing up, and we all got pissed off. our coach yelled and cussed us out. make us walk to the line, and run another 400m under 65sec for like the 10th time just cause one person didnt make the time of under 65secs. we'de be so pissed off. callin the coach an , and the kid who didnt make time, we chewed him out good. and the coach knew what our attitude was. his meanness made us into a tightly woven team. he used to tell us, "i know im an , and u know what? i really couldnt give a . u either run, or get the off my track"
ahhh the good ole days. wish i could back:) :( |

My coolest moment is when I had been walking for a long ass time and I realized I was gonna be late for work.
Ran 7 7-minute miles. |

wasnt that much of a sprinter. although still fairly fast..
i remember my 100m PB was around 12 a few years ago. would be interesting to see what i could do now, if i was fit.
i was more into race walking (won a few gold medals in my state championships), high jump or javelin |

| my sprint times vary exponentially... usually i dont run at all... bad knees and all and running is high impact on the joints.... but i hav ebeen to a couple beach parties in my hometown.. and when the cops show up to bust it up. lets just say i can run the 100 meters way faster than the slowest people there... :P |
