what game do you think would make an awesome movie? not an awesome movie based on a game, but just an awesome movie in general...
i say the obvious choice is Metal Gear Solid. i think if someone was to make a movie based solely on the original mgs, it would rock so hard |

Metal Gear, DEFINENTLY. Just as long as Kojima is in production.
Silent Hill is up there too.
the original Deus Ex had a really neat cinematic plot.
Square Pictures is dead meat, but it'd be neat to have a Final Fantasy with the RPG elements like magic and materia, etc etc etc |

Movies of video games are a bad idea full stop. It completely spoils the whole feel of a game as it forces you to take away from it what the director wants you to, rather than enabling you to decide for yourself.
Oh, and they have been talking about having a Doom film since Doom II was released! :o |

but i definitely agree on deus ex. perfect cyberpunk movie.
also, you're right again about final fantasy. after seeing lord of the rings, i was disappointed there wasnt much magic. i want to see a movie like that with massive amounts of magic. maybe king arthur will have some... merlin mofo's! |
